NLMET seeks to empower destitute and underprivileged men & women to realize their true self-worth and give them skills that would enable them to be self sufficient and gain meaningful employment.
Entrepreneurial skills and drive is evident at every level of society; it is the lack of access and opportunity that relegates many of the poor to a life of poverty. NLMET trains and equips entrepreneurial skills in tribal communities to enable them to be economically self reliant. ex: Aviary The necessary tools and devices like specially made boxes to collect honey were provided to the community along side a training program which taught them how to clean and collect honey.
The Banjara community was taught micro entrepreneurial skills like trading in fresh fish caught at the docks, how to make a profitable deal and how to manage the money they earn.
Our post Tsunami relief included the supply of two large fully equipped trawlers as well as fishing nets in order for those communities to regain meaningful employment.
