As part of the rehabilitation of the cyclone affected areas 100 houses were built and supplied to the community as well as 5 purpose built community schools.

Entrepreneurial skills and drive is evident at every level of society; it is the lack of access and opportunity that relegates many of the poor to a life of poverty. NLMET trains and equips entrepreneurial skills tribal communities to be economically self reliant. ex: Aviary The necessary tools and devices like specially made boxes to collect honey were provided to the community along with training program which taught them how to clean and collect honey.

NLMET works with marginalized women in the underprivileged communities who want to make a difference in their lives and make a positive contribution to their families and communities. NLMET offers them a course which enables them to learn conversational English and basic reading and writing skills. This makes a significant contribution to empowering the women to gain sustainable employment, pursue further education.

NLMET runs different free health check up camps around the city for the marginalise communities, both in existing areas of intervention and new areas where we currently have no other intervention program.

Our tree planting project in 2005 enabled us to plant over 200 trees in Mumbai. This helps us to make our contribution to a 'Green Mumbai' and also helps us do our part in maintaining an eco balance.

NLMET currently have 4 homes for orphans and children at risk (children who are abused or under the threat of abuse) in the state of Maharashtra .
