Transforming the lives of 100,000 children across Mumbai city

(an overcrowded area of a city in which the housing, sanitation, education, basic amenities is typically in very bad condition)

•  Children in slums 5.6 million

Our Vision

To establish 10 Balwadis in each postal code with 1000 Balwadis across the city

Each Balwadi would serve 100 children thereby benefiting 100,000 children in the city

The Balwadi's (Children's Centres)

Provide pre-school bridge programs to help children mainstream into government institutions

Provide a nutritious balanced mid day meal, often the child's only meal Be a foundation for the establishment of formal pre schools

Community Centres

The vision is to establish 100 community centres, one in each pin code.

The centres would be

	centres for adult literacy, skills training and other services for the community in the evenings
	a base to provide dental and medical screening for the community
	a centre for collecting and processing community data for research and analysis that would enable us to be more effective in meeting the needs of the community.
	an HIV/AIDS awareness and counselling centre in the community
